My Thoughts On The Verizon Blackberry Storm
Verizon has been trying to make up for passing on the iPhone. First it was the LG Voyager. It flopped. I mean it's not a bad phone but far from an iPhone killer.
Then in steps the Blackberry Storm. The hype, the marketing, the rumors have this phone set to be the next Verizon phone to challenge the iPhone. While I am a HUGE Blackberry fan and think the Storm is heading in the right direction for Verizon, I still think it's destined to fail for Verizon. Why you ask? It's simple, Verizon does everything wrong.
Ever since the beginning of Verizon they always strip the OS and add their proprietary software. This does not go over well with the community that would choose the Storm over the iPhone. One huge thing is Verizon still cripples the GPS for ANY and ALL third party apps. This is where Verizon truly doesn't "get it".
In closing there are the two main reason Verizon will NEVER sell a phone that kills the iPhone. At least not until they get smart, which I am sure will NEVER happen.
